A pretty mad mountnain bike ride really. The road to Pendam was impassable due to the snow so I met Dan, Dave and Martyn at the visitor centre at Nant yr Arian.

Suitably attired we headed off into the snow up the fire road which was a bit of a slog but not too bad. We then turned off onto the Italian job, but there was no way we could ride through the snow and drifts up to the top, so pushed our way up. Once at the top we all had a pretty good go at riding down the Italian job but without a huge deal of success. The general situation was ride / scoot along for 20 yards then fall off into the snow. It was all pretty good fun though.

The fire road up from the bottom of the Italian Job wasn't really rideable either so we pushed up that and then headed off along the road around Llyn Blaenmelindwr. This wasn't too bad except for the odd drift and we even road the bit of single track through the woods.

We then rode / pushed up over the climb back to the visitor centre and finished off with a ride down High as a kite which was actually quite nice in places.

All in all, not much of a ride but a great night out in the snow.
